So for a bit of time now, I have pretty much been burned out on Social Media and everything connected to that including writing on this site.

It came down down to a two part problem the first part being “Info Overload”. I loved watching and listen to every podcast I could find to the point where when I wasn’t at work, I had a podcast on. At some point the stream of information just turned into a flood of noise that was just boring and many times I found myself skipping through a podcast and only listen to minutes if not just seconds of a podcast before deleting it and moving on to the next one and more then likely repeating the process.

The second problem was setting the bar way to high to reach. The problem with diving head first into the Social Stream is you get tons of advice and insights that if you are not careful you will set your goals too far out of reach. I had myself under such pressure that I couldn’t do anything online because nothing was ever good enough. I would rack my mind over every decision from logo design and themes to leaving comments on sites I was reading.

I finally realized that I needed to bring it down a notch and quit taking everything so seriously when I happen to stumble across an old blog I had. It wasn’t about anything special, just random things I would write about. It wasn’t SEO optimized and the theme wasn’t anything fancy but I had fun with it. I had forgotten how fun it could be without the expectation and worries.
